Frequently Asked Questions
The hourly rate (55 minutes) is $185 which is recommended for all initial assessments. Following that, to make therapy more affordable, 30 minute sessions are offered for you to book at your convenience. Psychotherapy is also tax exempt, meaning there is no HST added.
Insurance plans typically cover costs associated with seeing a Registered Social Worker or Psychotherapist. It is recommended to double check coverage before booking an initial assessment.
At this time we do not offer direct billing to insurance companies. Once the session is completed, a receipt will be sent to the email associated with the booking system so that you can submit it to your insurance company for reimbursement. If you have additional questions about this process do not hesitate to reach out.
We provide individual Psychotherapy & Counselling services to anyone 16 years old and above.
At this time, Branching Beyond Psychotherapy & Counselling provides virtual sessions, however look out for future announcements regarding in person sessions!
To maintain consistency and respect for all clients, sessions are scheduled with intention. We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice or missed without notice will be charged the full session fee, due the same day. Please check with your insurance provider as these fees may not be covered.
I understand that life is unpredictable and emergencies can happen. If something urgent comes up and you're unable to attend your session, please use the contact form on the website to let us know as soon as possible.
If you can't find a time that fits with your schedule or isn't listed on my availability, feel free to reach out using the contact form or at info@branchingbeyond.ca to discuss other days/times that work better for you. We will do our best to accommodate your needs or let you know if any openings become available.
